Three in a row for Borderway Finance
Borderway Finance has been shortlisted for two national awards, including recognition for providing exceptional customer service for its customers.
The Credit Strategy Car Finance Awards are back for a 10th year, celebrating a decade of recognising outstanding achievements and leadership in the car finance industry. Borderway are shortlisted in two categories, Customer Service Excellence and Best Company to work for. They were also shortlisted in these categories last year and are hoping to go even better this time having been highly commended for their customer service last year.
The customer service excellence category is highly contested, with the team again up against some tough competition from national lenders. The award recognises those companies who go above and beyond to deliver the very best service to customers in the industry. Delivering good outcomes is central to Borderway and means they really are providing friendly motor finance to their customers. This has also been recognised by Feefo, an independent review platform, who have rewarded Borderway with a Platinum customer service award four years in a row.
Borderway have once again been shortlisted as one of the best companies to work for within the sector. As part of The Cumberland Group, members of the Borderway team share the same benefits as others within the organisation including hybrid working, subsidised gym membership, cycle to work scheme and free eye tests. Community involvement is a big part of the culture with every member of the team given a paid day to volunteer in the local community with some of the team using their day to help with The Cumberland’s Kinder Kind of Kitchen initiative, where you can read more here. Last year, the Borderway team gave their time to help a local animal refuge and provide some logistic support to Cash for Kids over the Christmas period. They also provided support to a local advocacy charity and raised over £2,000 through a variety of fundraising activities. As a way of measuring success, each year members of the team are invited to complete an engagement survey through the Best Companies, B Heard program. This year, the team received a 3 star World Class organisation to work for award.
Liz Eastburn, Head of Retail Distribution at The Cumberland and Chair of Borderway’s Board said: “Being nominated and shortlisted for two awards is a proud moment for all of us. It’s a reflection of the passion and dedication the team brings every day and this recognition inspires is to continue delivering the very best for our customers.”
Borderway’s Managing Director, Mike Deans, has been invited back by Credit Strategy to be on the judging panel this year along with other independent motor finance experts and business leaders. While he can’t judge the awards Borderway are nominated for, he will be helping to pick the winners in other categories.
Following the nominations Mike said: “It’s an honour for Borderway Finance to be recognised as finalists in this year’s Car Finance Awards. As a small team competing against significantly larger organisations, being recognised for the work we do is testament to the effort the entire team go to every day for each other and most importantly, our customers. Especially considering the strength of the offering provided by our peers across the industry.”
The black-tie event will be attended by Mike Deans, Leah Farish, Administration Assistant and Charlee Byers, Sales Support Administrator on the 21st of May at the Monastery in Manchester. While the team will be hoping to bring one of the awards home, being nominated is a huge honour and great recognition for the work the team has done.
