This July, five members of team Borderway are taking on the Keswick Three Peaks challenge in support of People First Cumbria, a fantastic local charity who help people to live their lives the way they want to.

The challenge involves an 18 mile hike up Catbells, Walla Cragg and Latrigg on the 9th of July and the five brave members of the Borderway Team are; Sue Boyd, Ryan Walters, Gillian Fisher, Jenny Strong and Mike Deans.

Jenny Strong, Direct and Corporate Account Manager, said of the challenge "Having learned more about People First and the valuable work they do within our local community I wanted to help support them through fundraising. The Three Peaks challenge is an excellent way to do this by raising awareness of the cause in the hope that it inspires other to help too. It’s a great excuse to try something new and improve my fitness."

Mike Deans, Managing Director added "We’re not professional mountaineers or experienced walkers but we’ve decided to push ourselves to complete this challenge, a distance of 18 miles over peaks and down valleys to raise funds and awareness for this fantastic organisation. We’ve already had amazing support from others within our team, friends , family, others around the Cumberland Family and of course our motor dealer friends and customers. We’re nearly there and every penny counts."
